Esoteric, inquisitive, and a tad rebellious, I draw from extensive experiences had and sharp lessons learned to inform my evolving perspective, converting my thoughts into actionable insights readers can use to vitalise thinking and augment understanding.

Little about my life has been mundane. Whether flirting with the Olympics or labouring through the labyrinth of torment and despair, the unusual is provocative, exciting curious responses. The extremes are battlegrounds which reveal your best and worst. On these fields, opportunities for personal growth materialised, the introspective blowtorch firing regeneration.

A decorated junior and multiple senior national champion, Track & Field was my affliction, gold my addiction. Success came quickly but my Olympic flame extinguished early, a once promising career evaporating overnight, a career-ending injury the culprit. My time in elite sport proved instructive, an investment demanding uncompromising engagement, it revealed my character, shaped my values, exposed truths, and implanted the irreplaceable–stellar people. Through reciprocal wisdom, guidance, provocation, and friendship, evolution is sought, betterment the prize. Through sport, I learnt to ignore the noise, concentrating efforts on things in my control. To that end, and for those in my orbit, in my own way, I try to make the world a better place.

Masters educated with an appetite for knowledge, I’m widely read but also, firmly believe in experiential learning; theory one thing, in practice another. I seek out those with thought-provoking opinions and routinely parse the unconventional. A born adventurer, new frontiers excite, shattering perceived boundaries my elixir. I welcome divergent perspectives, viewing all as unique and complex individuals with most having something worthwhile sharing. While I may not agree, debate is encouraged, the elucidation and exchange of competing ideas vital. If nothing else, I aim to be interesting, educational, entertaining, and through my work, add value to your life. Life is too short for the boring and prosaic; be bold and imaginative.

To the reader, know this: I write earnestly, truthfully, and thoughtfully, expressing raw and honest opinions. I will never fail to treat you as the intelligent and idiosyncratic individual you are, so if that appeals to you, welcome to the jungle.
